WELCOME to The Play Lab's
Parenting Workshop Series
with Brooklyn Birth Collective
We are excited to introduce our new series of workshops,
designed to support and empower parents at every stage of their journey.
Whether you're preparing to become a parent or navigating the early stages of parenthood,
these workshops are here to provide valuable education and foster a sense of community.
We are particularly focused on supporting pre- and postnatal women, offering a space to connect with others,
share experiences, and build confidence as you embark on this incredible journey.
Join us as we provide the tools, knowledge, and support you need to thrive in your role as a parent,
while building meaningful connections with fellow moms.
All workshops will be held by Chatequa and Marina doulas that collaborate with Brooklyn Birth Collective
and often partner together to support clients with labor & birth, in their postpartum journeys, or both!
Potty Talk: Tips & Tricks for Toddler Toilet Training
Tuesday, March 11th

Potty training can be a big milestone for both parents and toddlers, but it can also come with its own set of questions, challenges, and even a bit of frustration.
Whether you're just starting the process, encountering bumps along the way, or getting close to the finish line, we invite you to come to Potty Talk: Tips & Tricks for Toddler Toilet Training for an open, supportive conversation with other parents and expert guidance from Johanna from MamansBK!
This workshop provides a safe and welcoming space for parents to share their experiences, concerns, and successes in potty training.
Johanna will offer a variety of strategies, insights, and tried-and-true methods based on her years of experience supporting families through this phase of child development.

for Expecting Parents

We’ll discuss preparation for breastfeeding/bodyfeeding, getting a deep latch and common challenges, identifying feeding cues and infant feeding habits in the first days and weeks.
This workshop for expectant parents seeks to leave you with more clarity and some tangible tools/tips and what to do when you come up against challenges as you are caring for your new baby.

Building Your
Birth Team!
Thursday, April 3rd
6:30-8 pm
Come chat with Marina & Chatequa, two doulas from Brooklyn Birth Collective about building your birth team!
This workshop will help parents-to-be think about how they want to feel when they give birth and what they can do to build a birth team that supports their vision.
Chatequa & Marina believe there is no one right way to give birth and aim to empower their clients with the information that sets them up to make the best choices for them!
We will discuss picking and talking to your provider, why you might want a doula and what working with one is like, what to pack in your birth bag for a hospital birth, and offer basic resources around childbirth education and preparation.
This is an especially amazing workshop for those who are newly pregnant or thinking about getting pregnant and want to consider all of their options as they think ahead to labor & birth.
⭐ 90-minute workshop session: $120 per family
