Playspace Best Practices

What are the opening hours?


We are open 7 days a week: Weekdays: 9:15 - 10 am Class in Session Open Play from 10 am - 6 pm Weekends: 8:30 am - 6 pm We may be closed for private parties on weekends. Check our website for updates. Book your 2 hour timed visit in advance!




Do I have to sign a waiver?


Yes! Every parent/guardian who enters The Play Lab must sign a waiver for any child under the age of 18 that are under their care. No exceptions. The Play Lab has the right to refuse entry if the guardian does not sign a waiver. Birthday Party hosts are responsible to have their guests sign the waivers as well. Additionally, we require to complete a health screening form prior to entry.




What is your Covid-19 policy?


Please see our Covid-19 Policy. Here is an excerpt: Everyone over the age of 12 years old must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination upon entry. Adults and children over the age of 2 years old must wear face masks at all times. Please practice social distancing, wash hands or use hand sanitizer frequently. Hand sanitizers are provided.




Do I need to wear socks?


Yes! Socks are required in play areas and in the cafe area. We have socks for purchase (for children and adults).




What ages is The Play Lab best for?


The Play Lab has been designed to grow with your child's developmental skills and is open to children ages of 9 months old up to 7 years old. If your child is under 9 months old entry is free when accompanied by a sibling with has a paid pass.

Is food allowed or offered at The Play Lab?


Yes. Food is offered in the cafe area (small bites and drinks). You also are welcome to bring in baby foods and light snacks to consume in our cafe area only.




Does The Play Lab require adult participation?


The Play Lab is not a drop off playspace. Parents and caregivers must watch their child(ren) at all times. All adults are responsible for the well-being and behavior of their child(ren).




Is there a place for personal belongings?


We have cubbies for shoes and jackets as well as a place for strollers. Please note The Play Lab is not responsible for belongings stolen or lost.




Do you offer day passes?


We offer drop-in day passes. Your drop-in pass is limited to 2 hours of play time. You can book your visit in advance or drop-in. Please note that each visit allows for only one entry (you can't leave and come back within your 2 hours play session).




Can I drop-in for open play session?


Yes, you can drop-in for an open play session. Please note that each visit allows for only one entry (you can't leave and come back within your 2 hours play session). You can book your visit in advance and arrive anytime during the opening hours. You can also walk-in for an open play session. Capacity restrictions may apply.




Are you a nut-free facility?


We do not allow any nuts, however we can't guarantee that we are fully a nut-free facility.




What open play sessions do you offer?


We offer drop-in open play sessions, 10-visit packs and monthly memberships (auto-renew).




What is your health post-pandemic policy?


The Play Lab follows strictly enforced precautions that include wearing a face mask requirement, social distancing, temperature check at the entrance, health check-in forms. The space is cleaned and disinfected multiple times a day. We use a medical grade air purifier. Hand sanitzers and disinfecting wipes are provided. For more information please check our policies.




What is your sick child policy?


Please be considerate and do not bring any child(ren) who have any symptoms of illness (e.g. cough, fever, runny nose, etc.) or have a medical condition (e.g. COVID-19, lice, measles, etc.). If your child(ren) have had a fever within the last 24 hours before your planned visit, please do not bring them into the playspace. We may refuse entry to any child with illness symptoms as well as with fever.





Birthday Parties

How long is a birthday party?


Our Basic parties are 2 hours long, non-private. Our Ultimate parties are 2,5 hours long and are all-private. You have an exclusive access to our playspace and cafe area. There may be an option for 1 extended hour if there is no party after your time slot. All extensions must be requested at the booking time or as soon as possible and the latest 5 days before your party date.




Is a deposit required to book a date?


A $250 non-refundable deposit is required to book your party date. The balance remaining is due 7 days before the event. Any add-ons are due and payable the day before your party.




What are additional charges?


A 10% service charge will be added to all parties on the base package price. Additionally, all prices mentioned in the package do not include sales tax.




Do you offer add-ons?


Yes, we offer add-on entertainment and food options (ask for our catering menu). Ask us about additional party options and pricing for add-ons like Extra Goody Bags /Favors, Photographer, Balloon Twisting, Face Painting, Character Appearances and more!




Can I bring outside food and/or cake?


Outside food and outside cake are allowed but please kindly confirm with us food/cake options possible before ordering your outside food/cake. It will be an ouside fee applied of $75 for outside food and $15 for outside cake. You can order food or cake through us (see our catering form).




What is your Covid-19 policy?

What if I'm running late for my birthday party or my guests are running late?


We understand that something may affect your or your guests schedules, however, our parties start at the scheduled time. We can always check if extension of your party is possible, however, there may be other parties scheduled after your party time, and we may be unable to extend your party time. If your party begins after your scheduled time due to waiting for late guests, you will have less time in the playspace and, possibly, the cafe area.




Do my guests need to provide or do anything upon entry?


Your guests will be required to sign a waiver for each child under 18 entering The Play Lab. In addition, we will check temperature and ask to complete health screening form. Face masks are recommended, but not required for private parties. Your guests will still be asked to wear face masks if attending non-private party. All guests must wear socks to enter the playspace.




Are children all ages included in my headcount?


Any child over 9 months old is included in the headcount. Also, birthday child is included in the count.




What time should my guests and I arrive for the party?


You should arrive about 5 minutes before your scheduled party time and your guests should arrive at the scheduled time. Please do not arrive too early as we will be setting the space up and may be not be able to let anyone in until we have completed all procedures (including cleaning and sanitizing).




Is my party all-private?


Only party in the Ultimate package is all-private and you have an exclusive access to the whole space. If you booked Basic package, your party is non-private and you may be sharing the playspace with outside customers. However, cafe area will be exclusively for your use.




Can I use my own decor?


For a Basic package, you are allowed to bring your own paper products and balloons only. For an Ultimate package, you can add your own decorations but additional fees may apply. Please note: ceiling decorations, stickers on the walls, streamers, confetti and piñatas are not allowed.




Can I bring my own goodie bags and/or helium balloons?


For a Basic package, you are allowed to bring your own goodie bags and heliums balloons. For an Ultimate package, goodie bags and helium balloons are included in the package, however, you are welcome to add any items you'd like - our staff will add the items to the goodie bags. You can bring extra balloons and we can blow them up for you at an additional fee.




Is alcohol allowed during my party?


No alcohol is allowed in The Play Lab facility.
